Guidelines for Conference Participants

Dear Conference Participants,  

We are delighted that you will be participating in the 9th International Workshop on Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology (IWAMSN 2018) in Ninh Binh, Vietnam from 7th to 11th of November 2018. Before you set off for your travels to Nnh Binh, we hereby want to provide you with some final information. All necessary and useful information can be found from the conference website

1. Transportation:

The IWAMSN 2018 organizer will provide free-of-charge pick-up and transportation service:
i) from Noi Bai Airport to the conference venue (Ninh Binh City) on November 7th: for foreign participants only. Groups of up-to 10 Vietnamese participants can send their request to the Conference Secretariat.
ii) from 18 Hoang Quoc Viet to the conference venue (Ninh Binh City): at 13:30 on November 7th for all participants.
Request sent after November 6th will not be considered.
For reservation of either i) or ii), please send your request (with information of your arrival, i.e., date, time, flight ID) to  

2. Registration:

- The on-site registration will take place in the room R1 of the conference venue (please refer the venue map). Registration will begin on 7th November from 16:00 to 18:00.
- On the following conference days, the registration desk will be opened from 08:00 onwards at the lobby of the Grand Hall.
- Foreign participants please prepare your passport for a copy, as required by the local government. 
- At the registration desk, you will receive your conference badge, the abstract book, the tour ticket, the invitation for gala diner, and the voucher for the meals during the conference. Please make sure all your conference vouchers always with you.
- At the registration desk, organizing team members will be able to answer your questions at all times.
- If you have registered online and paid for the conference fee, please bring a proof of payment. It will fasten the registration process.
- Please make sure to wear your conference badge at all times.

3. Meals:

- At the registration, you will receive vouchers for the various meals being included in the conference package.
- Please hand your vouchers to the restaurant staff when getting your meal.
- We will provide a list of restaurants in the surroundings if you decide to have an alternative option other than the restaurant and bar of the conference center.

4. Program:

- The full programme of the conference is available online for all participants under this link: or on the abstract book distributed at the registration desk.
- If you are presenting your paper at the conference, please make sure to check the final version of the conference programme for the exact date, time and location of your presentation.  

5. Presentation:

- Please make sure to check the online programme for your scheduled presentation date, time, session, and presentation length. Please note your allocated presentation time includes time for questions and discussion.
- Keynote and Invited Speakers will have 30 and 25 minutes for presentation, respectively. Oral Presenters will have 15 minutes for presentation.
- Poster Presenters are expected to prepare their poster in A0 form. Flip charts and tapes will be provided by organizers. 
- Oral Presenters and Invited Speakers will be requested to provide us with their presentation slides in advance (up to 2 hours prior to the session) and as soon as possible (details will be informed at the registration desk).
- Please prepare your slides using a PowerPoint (97/2003) presentation only (PPT).
- You may want to use your own laptop. In such a case please make sure it has a VGA or HDMI socket for video output signal.
- In order to stay in track of time, please ensure that you start and end your presentation on the times indicated in the schedule. 

6. Poster prizes:

- There will be a jury to select 8 best posters (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 5 third prizes) among about 214 posters for awarding. 
- The authors are sincerely requested to prepare their posters as best as possible.

7. Nearest restaurants:

- Dinner is recommended at Hoang Son Peace Hotel.
- Several nearest restaurants can be considered as:
    + Ngoc Minh Cung Dinh Restaurant (Location: Square 3, about 700m from the conference venue, Estimated price: $$)
    + Trau Vang Restaurant (Location: 283 Tran Hung Dao Street, 500m from the conference venue, Estimated price: $$)
    + Rừng và Biển Restaurant (Location: 2 Tran Hung Dao Street, 3 km from the conference venue, Estimated price: $$$)
    + Hữu Nghị Restaurant (Location: 70 Trang An Street, 1.5 km from the conference venue, Estimated price: $$)

8. Poster printing service:

- Participants can print their poster (with fee) at 602 Tran Hung Dao Street (a printing shop), about 500m away from the conference venue. Map is provided below
